Calabasas Bay Laurel Elementary School Gets a Visit From The U.S. Army Chorus
On Friday, March 4th, 2011, the U.S. Army Chorus visited Bay Laurel Elementary School in Calabasas and performed for the students and teacher. It was a special opportunity for Bay Laurel as the U.S. Army Chorus has also recently performed at the White House and Radio City Music Hall.
The Calabasas students dressed in their most patriotic red, white and blue outfits in honor of the U.S. Army and sang along and danced during the 30 minute concert. The chorus performed well known military songs and hits from Toy Story. It was a mutually beneficial situation. Chorus director Major Milburn and members of the chorus enjoyed performing for the students as they hope to inspire children to become interested and involved in music and arts.
The U.S. Army Chorus is celebrating 55 years with a series of concerts around the nation.
