Why People Want To Live Here
Westlake Village attracts many professionals who work in the Los Angeles basin, but want to live in a more suburban location, away from the commotion of the city. The schools are second to none. The city is known for its elite private school, Oaks Christian School. Currently, the school services grades 5-12, but they are in the process of expanding into an elementary school offering as well. The local public schools are also rated very highly, offering an array of unique programs in sciences, theater, and arts.

    Things To Do
The city offers two main strip malls: The Promenade and the The Lakes, which consist of high-end restaurants, shopping, a movie theater, and family-centric activities in the holiday season, such as ice-skating in the winter and movies-on-the-lawn in the summer. Also known for it’s open terrain, the city has endless options for hiking and horseback trails. A hub for all things cultural, the Civic Arts Plaza hosts ballets, regional and national theater, comedy and symphony.
