Santa Monica JAYCEES Announce 18TH Annual Easter Celebration, Known Locally as “Peter Rabbit Day”

SANTA MONICA, CA – The Santa Monica Junior Chamber (Jaycees) announced that on Saturday April 3rd, 2010 they will be presenting the 18th annual Peter Rabbit Day at Douglas Park in Santa Monica (NW corner of Wilshire Boulevard and 25th Street).

“Peter Rabbit Day has always been a huge family event for the local community here in Santa Monica, and this year will not be any different. In fact, we expect more people this year!  Everyone is invited and encouraged to come down to Douglas Park and have fun,” said Grace Wang, 2010 president of the Santa Monica Jaycees.

On Saturday April 3rd, 2010 the fun starts at 9:00am at Douglas Park. Kids will be able to get their faces painted, learn how to color their very own Easter eggs and have a chance to participate in the “Egg in Spoon” race. Come meet and take photos with the Easter Bunny who will be giving away tons of prizes! Plus, the Santa Monica Police Department will be there with a police car for kids to explore and learn. Admission is free!
